JUMPSUIT DESIGNS

I've used adobe illistrator to create computer illustrated designs of different jumpsuits. I've also used paints and Pantone markers, creating block colour designs and multi coloured prints.

My designs are inspired by 70s and 80s fashion, I have incorperated block colour, floral designs, flared bell bottoms and bold colours to link to this.

JUMPSUIT INSPIRATION

Jumpsuit designs inspiration

I got my inspiration for my jumpsuit designs by looking up jumpsuits and 70s/80s jumpsuits on Pinterest.

I think the 70s and 80s are great years to be inspired by as there were a variety of colour trends, a lot of material and components were used and the styles were all very unique. Block colours, sequins, plain fabrics, silky fabrics and patterns were all popular.

The photos gave me Ida's on structer and also on my colour pallet. I choose to design more block colour garment designs as it was quite a popular colour scheme in the 80s.

I like the wide leg jumpsuit designs and for inspiration i have these photos of my nan in the late 70s with wide leg trousers in a block red colour.

CONTEMORARY MODERN DESIGNER- ISSEY MIYAKE

Issey myake
Issey myake is a contemporary fashion designer who really inspires me. Isseys designs are unique and fresh and resemble his own interpretations of fashion.

His designs are quirky and different and often resemble arcutecter using strong edges and shapes.
These are just a few of my favourite issey myake garnets as they have a have 80s vibes using block colours and shapes.

CONTEMPORARY DESIGNER- DION LEE

                        Dion lee

Deon lee is an Australian designer who has been known for his architectural silouhet designs and his thermo active fabric that showed the modals body heat.

He is a modern contemporary designer who's style of garments I really enjoy.
I feel his designs are sleek, clean, and edgey.
I love his pallet choices and the contrast or whites with a block colour and unique patterns and designs.

70S/80S FASHION INSPIRATION

I take most my inspiration for designing from the 70s and 80s. Celebs in these ears also inspire me and I love to look at the clothes they wore, the colours and the fabrics. Dolly Parton and the golden girls are huge inspirations to me when designing as I think they are all represent the pinical of 70/80s fashion trends.

Jumpsuits and block colours and patterns are my favourite parts of this fashion era as I think it is exiting, fun and can be dressed up or casual. Jumpsuits I feel can be changed from a retro fashion trend to a more modern look worn popularly today.
